WORKING VISIT OF THE MINISTER OF CULTURE AND TOURISM, SEDAT SULEJMANI, TO THE MUSEUM OF MACEDONIA
On September 9, 2026, the Minister of Culture and Tourism, Mr. Sedat Sulejmani, paid a working visit to the Museum of Macedonia, where he held a working meeting with the Director of the Museum, Aleksandar Ristevski.
During the visit, Director Ristevski presented the current state and ongoing challenges at the Museum of Macedonia, highlighting its complexity as an interdisciplinary national institution, alongside its staffing and infrastructure needs.
The need to strengthen expert staff and further enhance human resource capacities was strongly emphasized. The Museum requires complete renovation of its facility, storage depots, and exhibition spaces, with a structured timeline needed to restore the grandeur of this primary national museum and showcase its full wealth to the public.
Discussions also addressed the proposal submitted by the Museum for the 2027 annual program, which aims to provide the institution with an opportunity for representative showcase.
